Website Relaunch

The start-up follows a unique and holistic approach and uses a combination of remote sensing, on-site sensors and self-learning artificial intelligence. Combined with their accumulated scientific expertise - especially in the field of bioacoustics - they are able to make reliable statements about the biodiversity of areas from the data obtained.



Challenge

biometrio.earth creates transparency about the nature of an area, how it is developing in terms of biodiversity and whether it is suitable for CO2 compensation. The website and corporate design should communicate this unique approach clearly and comprehensibly to the various target groups. Sensitivity was required here in the explanation of the technical subject matter. The design reflects the mission of biometrio.earth: "Radical transparency in the carbon offset market and the protection of biodiversity".

Brand Development & Branding

This key message is captured in the themes of "Bioacoustics" and "Good Air" and expressed graphically in the branding through the overarching theme of "Soundscape". The concept of soundscape represents the essence of the forest: energetic, powerful, calm and natural.

The logo combines typographic and stylistic elements from the branding developed for the website. These are both the filled icons and the hatching used, which symbolizes audio waves, sound and CO2 in the air.

Website

The look & feel of the website should be airy, relaxed, modern and close to nature. The layout needed to focus in particular on the content and the communication of the technical subject matter. The entire UI, including the presentation of the diagrams and photos of the employees, was designed by ZENTRALNORDEN. The topic of bioacoustics also runs as a visual thread through all content.

Animation

The communication of complex content is supported by scroll-triggered animations. The animated elements and the text scrolling alongside create a dynamic interplay of movement on the screen.
